We are always interested to purchase music equipment as fitted to Jensen cars

The ultra-rare classic Motorola radio with 'illuminated Jensen name' as fitted to Jensen CV8s

Price: £875 + P/P

For the start of the new Jensen CV8 car, Jensen Motors went to Motorola for their radios. Picking Motorola's 'best of range' unit, Jensen Motors then asked if the units could be especially modified for them, incorporating a light up Jensen name when the unit was turned on. Motorola agreed, and under the Motorola name, the name 'Jensen' lighted up in red when turned on.

This particular radio survives in close to mint condition, with excellent frontal appearance and even retaining the satin silver drop in back plates (usually missing). Even the grey anodised top body survives in near perfect condition, and all the leads at the back are completely original and untampered with. The radio has just been fully overhauled by Vintage Wireless and is sold together with the original invoice detailing the overhaul and guarantee.

The classic model 970 / 980 Radiomobile as fitted to earlier Mk.I FFs and Interceptors

Price: £175 + P/P

Of all the Radiomobile models the 970 / 980 is the hardest to find, since it was the most expensive, and only fitted to cars such as Rolls Royce, Bentley and Jensen. Typically fitted to all earlier Mk.I FFs and Interceptors. Check the chassis file details for your car, from Richard Calver's chassis data book, if the Voxson is not shown, then your car would have had this radio.

This radio survives in close to mint condition, with perfect front retaining the satin silver drop in back plates (usually missing), perfect grey body and still retaining the full Radiomobile label. Fully working, but as with all radio equipment, we would advise the unit having a check over before fitting. See information about the Vintage Wireless Company within the 8 Track history page. The image to the right shows a 970 / 980 model Radiomobile radio in 119/018 (photographed by Michael Cooper in 1967 / 68).

A rare Voxson series 'Jensen flap' Radiomobile radio / '8' track player

Price: SOLD

Jensen Motors had Voxson manufacture some units with a branded '8' track flap bearing the name 'Jensen', these were beautifully finished with a black impressed 'Jensen' name on a stainless steel flap. This unit has survived in overall excellent condition, with a perfect radio display and perfect 'Jensen' flap; even the chromed buttons have remained in perfect condition, along with the milled end finish. The unit is complete with its seperate separate amp (often missing), along with all leads and is working fine, but as with all old radio should be checked by a specialist before fitting.

A rare 108 series 'Jensen flap' Radiomobile radio / '8' track player

Price: SOLD

Jensen Motors had Radiomobile manufacture some units with a branded '8' track flap bearing the name 'Jensen'. Initially these were finished in chrome with the Jensen name in black, and fitted to MK.I FF and Interceptors and some earlier MK.II cars. Later in the MK.II range (and also for the MK.III), the flap colour was changed to dark brown / black and the Jensen name was in silver. This particular '108' series unit is of that later specification, and has a particularly good condition front panel. The flap has survived in excellent condition and the unit has perfect knobs. The unit is working fine but as with all old radio should be checked by a specialist before fitting.
